Baseball Season Tracker

I just came across this awesome infographic print from Jared Fanning on Design Work Life.  It is a way to track your favorite baseball team all season long.  Since Opening Day was last week and my beloved Mets are off to a good start (knocking on wood), it seems like a great idea right now...
The print has spaces for you to track the season game by game, it has 182 spaces for games.

And a space to track your personal game attendance.

And the final product is great to frame and showcase, if you are not hating your team by the end of the season.

You can purchase one here from Jared Fanning.

Ma&Gia Osteria Italiana

Joel and I went out to dinner and to the movies for Date Night recently.  We had been dying to try this new restaurant right near where he works, Ma & Gia

We had a great time... A nice cheeseboard and a salumi platter accompanied by some delicious wine... perfect!

Delicatessen: International Comfort Food

Last weekend, Joel and I went down to SOHO for a little lunch and shopping.  SOHO is full of tons of different restaurants, but we luckily stumbled upon this amazing place.  Delicatessen is located on the corner of Prince Street and Lafayette Street, which I guess is actually Nolita.

While, the restaurant was pretty packed, we ended up just grabbing some seats at the bar.  The bartender there was awesome, so we had a great time.

The food was To Die For!

I had the most amazing Mac & Cheese, Margarita Mac, with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, parmigiano, and basil.  It might have been one of the best things I have ever tasted.  Yummm!!!  Oh, and I cannot forget about my delicious Pear Bellini.  Bellini's are one of my favorite cocktails.

Joel's sandwich looked pretty damn good, too!  In his words, "It was a man sandwich!"  It was the Delicatessen Reuben on Rye Sandwich with hand-sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss and russian dressing.  The bartender told us that it was going to pretty huge, but delicious, and that he normally cannot finish it all.  Joel said "Challenge Accepted!"

And we had to try their Truffle Parmesan Fries, obviously.  I mean who could honestly resist them!

After leaving, I checked out their website, and was sad to say that we may have missed one of the coolest parts about the restaurant, their downstairs... Take a look...

Girl Scouts Cookies & Bridal Shower

I finally received my long awaited for boxes of Girl Scout Cookies!!! Yum!!!

They have been sitting next to my desk all day at work taunting me, begging me to open them up, but I know as soon as the boxes get open they will be gone.

My favorites are the Samoas, I cannot get enough of them.

Speaking of Girls Scouts, I came across this amazing Girl Scout Inspired Bridal Shower Photo Shoot at Green Wedding Shoes and thought I would share it.

I don't know about you, but this reminds me of Troop Beverly Hills.  I would totally love to be in a troop that meets like this!

Check out more pics and all the vendors that helped put together this shoot at Green Wedding Shoes...

Peanut Butter Bacon Chocolate Cookies

I just found this recipe at Young Married Chic and had to share it! These cookies just sound so good!

And I love her logic in creating this concoction:

"So I got to thinking, that there are four certain things in life
1. Cookies are a fix for anything
2. Peanut Butter makes the world go round
3. Bacon, well.. bacon makes everything better
4. Chocolate drizzle makes things look fancy"

Peanut Butter Bacon Chocolate Cookies
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks of butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/4 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup peanut butter chips
1/4 cup chocolate chips
3 strips of cooked (cooled) bacon, diced into small pieces
Chocolate Bark, for the drizzle
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside
Cream the butter and sugars in a mixer, until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and beat in the eggs one at a time. Lastly, add in the peanut butter and mix until combined.
Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, 1/2 cup at a time (so to not flour yourself in the process) and mix until just combined. Stir in the peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, and bacon. The dough will be sticky.
With an ice cream scoop, ball the dough and place it on the lined baking sheet, evenly spaced as the cookies will spread. Bake for 10-12 (closer to 12 for larger cookies) minutes or until the cookies are slightly brown around the edges. Remove from oven and let sit for a few minutes, then allow to fully cool on a rack.
Once the cookies are cooled, melt the chocolate bark and drizzle it overtop of the cookies. Allow it to set (or not) and enjoy!

BIRCH BOX - March

My March Box is here! Take a look at all of the great stuff...

So here is this month's BirchBox contents:
1. Kérastase Elixir Ultime $54
2. Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser $22
3. AHAVA Essential Day Moisturizer - Normal to Dry Skin $38.50
4. Tea Forté® skin-smart™ Teas  $6
5. Color Club Neon Nail Polish in Jackie Oh! $8
6. Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien $85

I have to say I am completely in love with the Color Club Neon Nail Polish in Jackie Oh!. It is the cutest neon, bubblegum pink color, perfect for the upcoming spring and summer weather.  Also, I don't know if it was just me, but the nailpolish seemed alot easier to apply than the other typical nailpolishes that take me hours to maneuver with my left hand.

Also, while I have been testing out the other products as well, I am really looking forward to trying the Tea Forté® skin-smart™ Teas.  The flavors sound delicious and if they are good for the skin and my tastebuds that sounds like a win-win situation to me.
