Walking Across the Brooklyn Bridge

I am a List Person, I make lists for everything, restaurants, books, movies, music, things I want to do, things I need to do, things I want to buy, I mean everythinggg, but my favorite list is "Things I Want To Do in New York City!"  And what I love more than creating lists is getting to cross things off my lists.  And as this year has gone by, I have been able to cross a few things off of this veryyy long list: Top of the Rock, Ice Skating at Bryant Park, Coney Island Ferris Wheel, Brooklyn Cyclones game, Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo.
And this weekend, I got to cross off another adventure from my New York City list: Walking Across the Brooklyn Bridge!  After attempting the always fun Weekend Subway Schedule of the 4/5/6 trains, we finally made it to the Brooklyn Bridge stop, a few hours later. With my scarf and sweater I was ready to venture onto the bridge on the very Windy, late October day.  It was a little chilly, but not as bad as I was expecting.  The walk was great, we got to see the building where I work, and lots of other great views.

When we got to Brooklyn, I wanted to walk around a bit and go down to the water and see the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, but it was a little too cold for ice cream.  After some people watching (we actually saw Santonio Holmes, WR for the Jets) and picture taking, we headed back over the bridge to venture another subway trip home.

Muhlenberg Football

For the past few weekends, Joel and I have been going out to my brother's college football games with my family.  For those of you that may not know, Timmy is a Sophomore at Muhlenberg in Pennsylvania.  His team is currently 5-1 in the Conference, so they are normally exciting, fun games to watch. Early Saturday morning, we pack into the car with our blankets, sweatshirts, magazines of course, and Timmy's Laundry.

The drive has been beautiful these last couple of weeks.  We don't get to see the leaves changes too much in the city, so each week you can really tell the difference.  But here are some of my favorite Fall Pictures.

A Long Time Favorite

Here is one of my favorite companies, Brooklyn Treat Shoppe.  http://www.brooklyntreatshoppe.com/  I was introduced to this company at work and have loved working with them ever since.  They make amazing decorated cookies and candies.  They have tons of seasonal selections, great for every holiday and occasion.  I just received my shipment of Halloween cookies, which are adorable!

But, my favorite thing is their custom cookies.

For a Showcase Event that I had back in the Spring, they created cookies of my Business Card.  They were a great hit and everyone loved them.  I had a lot of people telling me that they hung the cookies up at their desk so it was easy to find my phone number.

Very First Post

So, this is my very first blog entry.  I never would have thought that I would be a blogger, but I’ve decided that it might be a fun way to share my adventures with my friends and family.  I’ve been living in New York City for over a year and am excited to start sharing the things I find, places I go, and food I eat (and maybe attempt to cook) with everyone.  I am constantly ripping things out of magazines and printing random stuff out online, so I figured that it might be time to share all of the things that catch my attention with all of you.
